So this truck is part of one of my clients collection of cool and original rides. I did his matching numbers 70 LS6 Chevelle earlier this year and he had me come back to handle this truck.

Sorry for the low quality pics. The shop doesn`t have the greatest lighting and it was cloudy outside.

This is a fully original 79 454 big block with A/C Silverado that has never been restored. And it has only 5k miles on the clock!!! The appraiser couldn`t even find another one when searching for comps. So who knows what the true value is.

The factory black single stage paint needed a little bit of polishing up. And man do I love polishing single stage.

Most of the truck got a 2 step. NO harsh wool or microfiber pads.

Justin , absolutely gorgeous job her.

I love that they didn`t mess the truck up. They kept it stock including the paint. In my mind some vehicles shouldn`t be modified.

Gee, a pickup that even I can appreciate :D

Ah yes, `70s GM black lacquer, boy that takes me back! Yeah, nice that it hasn`t been [messed] with.

I bet it was *really* nice to work on that paint with today`s products and MFs!

Wonder what`s up with the heater hoses and the master cylinder? I`d sure want to get on the latter if it is in fact leaking!

Also wondering if he had to, uhm..."update" the freon in the AC.

Funny you mentioned that. Still rocking R12

Maybe not so funny...I do have that `85 Jag ;) Hope he has a Tech who can still get R12, making a retrofit work OK can be very challenging, even downright impossible. Without R12 my XJS would be a paperweight (been there, tried that, luckily able to change it back).

Wow, so nice to see an older pickup in original condition. Brings back memories of my pop`s `76 Scottsdale K20. He used it to plow snow in Minnesota and it rusted so badly it was in a junkyard after about ten years.
