I`m looking for a recommendation for a spot treatment product or method for when the birdshiz or sap hits the paint.
Something portable for travel.

I dont have one in my vehicles, but most people I know, carry a bottle of quick detailer, and a couple of microfiber towels..

Tree sap is a little harder to remove unless it just hit the paint and is still soft.
Once it dries and hardens, it can get harder to remove..
My go-to method for removing tree sap is the pointed end Q-tips, and the little metal can of Goof Off Professional.. I still find this product at Home Depot in the Paint Section, right where all the masking tape, masking paper, etc., is sold..

Get the vehicle in the shade, get good lighting..
Put a little of the product on the end of the pointed q-tip.
Put that pointed q-tip directly on the tree sap, move it around just a bit, blot that spot immediately with a cotton towel that is absorbent..
Look at the work and decide if you have to do it again..

I gave a bottle of Poorboys Birdsh#t remover and a clean microfiber towel in a ziplock baggie to my wife in case of “emergencies”. I tell her to bag up the towel after use. Bird poop is some nasty stuff.

No idea at all about tree sap, luckily it`s always washed off OK for me at the next wash.

Bird bombs...Now that I`m using FK1000P on most of our vehicles I simple don`t bother doing anything 95% of the time. Perhaps it`ll bite me one day, but I`ve *never* had any etching whatsoever from leaving `em on there and they wash off in the rain anyhow.

OK, when the Crown Vic got bombed by seagulls in a huge way while many miles/days from home, I did pour bottled water on it to get the worst off.

On my wife`s A8 (just OCW for the LSP, at least for now) I use IUDJ with *very* plush MFs and numerous cotton swabs, could take me 15 minutes to get a bird-bomb off but I don`t mar the paint or trash my LSP.

I think this was tree sap since that car had sat a full year right
beside a pine tree. I tried a lot of things to remove since it was all over the car not just the roof. the only thing I had that had any effect was McKee`s 37 Tire & Rubber Rejuvenator. I was suprised since neither 3M or Gtech tar and adhesive removers had no luck or any of my APC`s

Just a sprayer with DI water. Just blast off the bird dropping to prevent acid etching with the sprayer`s agitation don`t even pass a microfiber as it will mar without a hose down.
