pre wax cleaning

My car is Ford Ruby Red. I have a old sealant that I want to use up. I have BF GEP, Megs ultimate polish and compound. ( I think I listed them on order of aggressiveness) Would these do the trick ? Do these products work well with other brands?. It will all be done by hand. I am guessing the first two might be ok. Thanks for reading.
