Thanks for the post !!!

In the January, 2018 edition of Motor Trend Magazine, pages 86 and 87, there is a DEMON AD with a pic of a Red Demon lifting the front wheels off the ground as its launched, with a letter from the NHRA Dated Nov 30, 2016, essentially saying -
"the SRT Demon ran the 1/4 mile at the Gainesville Raceway, Florida at 9.650 seconds at 140.09 mph."
"Both the e/t and speed exceed the limits on 2008 OEM model-year and newer production cars and therefore violate our rules"
"The car exceeded our limits of 9.9 seconds and 135 miles per hour."
"Therefore before this car can be run again at an NHRA Member track, it must be brought into compliance with the rules and regulations found in Section 4 of the NHRA Rulebook."

The Caption above this Red Rocket that has it fronts off the ground - "SORRY. NOT SORRY. " :) :) :)

I think what the NHRA wants is for the Demon to have a full roll cage, and whatever else goes into cars running much faster, well, than anything else at the present time.. :) :) :) Gotta love that kind of MoPar Powa` !!!

I watched a video where it says they are limited to 167 or so mph due to the tire compound type. You have to change tires and reprogram it. Nitto said if you want sticky tires you can only go 160x mph. Not that you`d need to go faster but I thought that was interesting info.

I really liked the hellcat hoods tho, but this one would be much easier to polish!

And isn`t the new tesla roadster faster? I don`t see any articles of it being sent to banned camp.

If you can afford the Tesla Roadster you can probably afford to build your own drag strip and make your own rules----
Yes they are suppose to be faster--I think an 8.8 sec quarter mile

I am sure it has not been banned because the car has not been run at an NHRA sanctioned drag strip yet... :)
