This is a really silly question. It says it works on exterior plastic, basically everything except glass. Does this include black plastic trim pieces? I have a 2017 Silverado, it has plastic bed rails and bumper steps. I would normally use aero 303 on this, but this truck is going to be driven often and not washed that often. Thank you, I will go back to making one post every 5 years or so. :)

Yes it can. It will go on clear and not restore the trim.

It does ok in durability.

If does work well with solution finish applied first and then topped with gloss coat.

By the way it can be applied to glass. Just not recommended for front glass because of wiper abrasion will remove it.

If I don`t care for the look, is it acceptable to put a carnuba over the top, or is this overkill?

That is completely up to you. Gloss Coat will shed whatever is put on top of it within a 2 week time frame.

Another basic question. Anything I should avoid using to clean the car after the coat is applied? Say a bug that is stubborn and your regular car soap won`t get it off.

Nothing but ONR for the first 7 days.

Q from a guy who`s never used it on anything except wheels:

Doesn`t it shed bugs/etc. well enough that such stuff is never an issue?

I have a couple high spots I missed. Is the only coarse of action to machine polish the area, clean, and re-apply?

Those "high spots" are a big part of why I`m not coating a whole vehicle...I can`t shake the "not Accumulator proof" concern (and there`s also the matter of spot-correction..).
