I`m going to be ordering a 2018 F150 in "Ruby Red" and am looking for suggestion on a sealer and/or wax for it. My wife has a 2016 Mustang in Magnetic and I currently use BlackFire Crystal Seal on it and am quite happy with the results. Both of these colors are metallic.

Suggestions welcomed.
Thanks

Crystal Seal is one of my favorite products. It doesn`t get much easier and looks great at a very reasonable price. I don`t think it`s the longest lasting sealant and certainly not up with the first rate coatings but it`s so simple I don`t mind applying more often. Don`t fix what ain`t broke.

+1 on what Gearhead said!

I love crystal seal, one of my all time favorites. Super easy, and looks great. Barely need any product to do a whole car, so its very good value IMHO

The ruby red on my 13 focus popped when it was clean and waxed. Even dirty it looked pretty good. Honestly as long as the paint is clean (clayed, not heavily swirled) and waxed itll look great

Anyone know the difference between the Wet Diamond and the Crystal? They`re both sealers from Blackfire. Can they both be topped with a carnauba such as BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax?

Wet Diamond is more of a traditional sealant and will take longer to apply than Crystal Seal. Looks and durability I think go to Wet Diamond. On the flip side, Crystal Seal can be applied in minutes and has a shorter cure time I believe, so reapplying a few months later won`t take long. Both can be topped with wax after properly cured, especially Midnight Sun. I`m currently using Midnight Sun spray wax as a drying aid/LSP boost.

If you want to try out some wet diamond, PM me with your name and address. I will throw some in a bottle and send it to you.

Thanks for the offer NLove, but i just used some Crystal Seal on my wife`s Mustang yesterday. I`m happy with it. Maybe when I get my Ruby Red truck.

I did that combo 2 times. Not impressed. The sealant stank like perfume,
everywhere I went I smelled like strong perfume (people lookin` at me funny).
The Mid.sun wax was a workout to just apply, then I couldn`t wipe off all the oil during removal. which probably helped during cure.?
Switched to WolfGang`s sealant and I was in heaven, easy as can be, plus a nice light coconut scent.
Topped it with the Mid.sun, but used a spray wax for the cloudiness from leftover oil, after the cure.
I`ll be using BF Mid.sun only for winter prep. Unless I find better.
