What are some thoughts on CarPro`s products?

Are they better than most?

I`ve only tried MFs from their MF Madness line, and I simply love the (rather pricey) things. After trying the Dry Me Crazy MF Drying Towels I promptly retired all my other ones (well, relegated them to undercarriages/etc.).

Others here have used other CarPro stuff with great satisfaction, and IMO Cory is a good guy overall.

I`d rate them Good-To-Go, but somewhat pricey.

I love Carpro. Reset is a great soap, Cquartz is a tried and true coating. Iron X is probably one of the more popular detailing products around now for good (and stinky) reasons. Their new Ech2o waterless concentrate fits nicely in with their product lineup.

Reload can be finicky to work with, but it`s delivered great results IME. The only disappointment I`ve had with their stuff is Flyby Forte Glass Coating.

Of course you can find cheaper alternatives to their products, such as Tar X (Tarminator) & Inside (APC / leather cleaner), but they are both great options.

I really like and use or have used almost all their products since the introduction.



IronX - Still one of the best Decon prodcuts out there compared to the other options. Both versions stink so buy the cheaper original version.

IronX Soap - I really like this for a nice easy decon wash every 6 month or so.

Reset - A great clenaing soap that really seems to leave nothing behind. After 2 years I was ready to re-coat my wifes car. After a Reset wash almost all then bading and sheet came back and I really didn`t need to re-coat. That is afer using other "pure cleaning" soaps.

Reload - One of my favorite spray sealants. I have never really had any issues that others have had. Ussually if ther eis minor streaking its becasue I used to much as I am heavey handed with it at times.

Trix / TarX - Both work well at decon and removing tar addhesive.

Hydro2 - Simply the best. Everyone is now copying the spray on rinse off that Hydro2 introduced.

Eraser - Good prep. Can you use a standard IPA mix? Yes but Eraser makes it easier and is not as grabby.

CeriGlass - The only glass polisht that really works for me.

Wool Wash Mitt - My absolute favorite wool wash mitt. Not to heavy, durable (3+ years on the same one)


Perl - Work well on interior dressing. Since it water based its not as durable on exterior So I use Hyper dressing due to cost


CQ Original - Awsome! I had 2+ years on thsi coating before I choose to polish and re-coat. Gloss and depth are nice.

CQUK - Even better than CQ IMO. I have 3+ years on the curent application. (2 layers) Gloss / pop is only slightly less than CQ but the depth is much better.



Fabric Coating - I did not have good success with this.


FlyBy30 - Not much better than RainX


Forte - Much better than FlyBy30. But for my Opti Glass coat last longer and work better

Fog Fight - not that great. It does work but it leaves a slight film that drives me nuts. I now use it on my bathroom mirrors only

I like most CarPro products and my opinion mirrors what others have said. I currently have CQuartz on my BMW and love the new ECH2O. Fog fight is useless and there were some problems with a batch of Reload that drove a lot of detailers crazy, but I believe that is now fixed. Big fan of Essence and Gloss Pads for bringing out the best in new paint. Ceriglass is the only glass correction polish that I will touch. So overall their lineup ranks pretty high in my estimation.

Pretty much agree with all your sentiments on CarPro, but I respectfully disagree with this one. I think they`re all basically the same product, including TAC System Water Glass which is unapologetically the same color, transparency and concentration. :)

I don`t know if Permalon was a thing, but Permanon is a product that contains 14Si. It was cut with water, sprayed and gently rinsed off. Frankly, I don`t know if when they say 14Si they really mean SiO2, which is the base of Hydro2, Wet Coat, etc. or if when applying and mixing, 14Si becomes SiO2 chemically. Permanon was the same thing as Gtechniq C2. Frankly, I thought Permanon was terrible. I don`t know if it preceded Hydro2 or not.

It is the first I used. But I feel like the Chemistry is different as well as the durabilty and results.

I don`t disagree that many of these are similar if not the same product. Personally I feel like Hydro2 was the first to really come out with this chemisty and process and theother companies are essentially copying them to catch up. Also I see Hydro2 as the better value as RTU is never ideal for me and concentrate make more sense as well as more product.
