Using Speed and 6" Uro-Fiber pads on a Rupes I have completed two cars using the combo. I have been highly pleased. The combo removes light to moderate swirls and scratches. Performs magic on headlight lenses as well. The fact that you can get it on glass, rubber, and plastic makes it a fast piece of little magic... so here`s the latest clients car.

So today I detailed a clients Mazda 2007 CX-7 to get ready to sell. They didn`t want to pay for a 3 step paint correction so I did an AIO and only promised "shining" results and not "show car perfect"

Thanks! I love the combo...I used it on my black Sapphire Metallic BMW as well and it`s going to be my "go to combo" for sure! HD Speed needs to be renamed HD Amazing, because that`s exactly what it is. Amazing. Love this 50/50

How was using the uro-fiber pads? Could you see any disadvantage over using a traditional foam polishing pad?

How was using the uro-fiber pads? Could you see any disadvantage over using a traditional foam polishing pad?

Honestly I was able to get more done with this pad verses a traditional foam pad. I can compare it to another mid-size suv I`ve previously done that compares to this Mazda size and oxidation wise. With the foam pads before I used pretty much 1 per panel or had to clean the pad after every panel.

With the Uro-Fiber, I used one pad for the entire roof, windshield, and hood. I wanted to see how well they cleaned "on the fly" using a cloth and it was a lot quicker than the foam.

After a quick clean I moved on to the rear glass and side glass and completed all of them with the same pad. For the two sides, back hatch and front bumper I used a total of two additional pads. I could have done a quick clean on the fly and been good I believe and got away using only one additional pad instead of the two.

The pads never really seemed to cake up like a traditional foam pad. And final clean up of the pads when complete was A LOT quicker and easier than foam.

Overall, I used three pads on a mid-size SUV that was oxidized and has never seen a coat of wax in 10 years 🤦🏼`♂️[emoji27][emoji33]. I don`t feel that it ever really lost any cutting power. And if clean up is easier...I am all in. So the only disadvantage here is "why the heck didn`t I buy these earlier?!" Or the fact that I need more sizes of them since they go from 1" up to 6", I would definitely like some 1" and 3" of these!

Just a follow up but 2 weeks later on my BMW (not the clients Mazda) with the HD Speed...my cars are garage kept but daily driven...rain or shine. Curious to know how the pads perform on softer paints. Ive tried microfiber with HD speed on a F150 with softer paint and it ended up leaving being quite a mess. Thinking maybe these seemingly all purpose uro fiber pads may be the best bet for having the most cut while still finishing LSP ready
