Tomorrow I`m going to detail the exterior of a friend`s Hummer H2 to get it ready for sale -- I already did the interior last week but it rained, so the exterior had to wait.

I`m really not looking forward to doing the exterior, the H2 has many off shapes, the spare on the back has to come off, the vehicle is stupidly tall, the roof rack is in the way, and the flat panels (hood, roof) are difficult to reach all the way across. And unlike pickup trucks, there is no bed to stand in for doing the roof.

That got me thinking. What are some of the worst vehicles you`ve worked on?

Ferrari`s !! they are way too low and you can be guaranteed to have back problems ... nice to play with but not to detail :)

I can sort of see the Mini Cooper depending on year and model (I`ve done one), but my VW Golf R is a piece of cake. The Beetle isn`t bad either.

The Hummer H2 will need machine polishing and maybe some compounding, and doing that while being on a ladder is going to suck hard...

and Lamborghinis. :( Yesterday`s job, after spending all that time on my knees doing interior work on one Lambo, I went to polish the hood of a second Lambo. I got half the hood when I turned over the polisher to another guy. My back warned me to do so, or suffer worse later! (i`m still feeling it)

awww man. I need to do my Jeep Cherokee :(

Neighbor has a super raised FX4, I could not do the front window for anything lol. Even with a ladder I couldn`t figure out a good way to get at it. Plus I felt like I was going to topple over trying. I`ve since bought one of those Stoner glass cleaning wand thingies which would work great on a boom handle. But I don`t think I`ll ever detail a truck that high off the ground again.

The stoner wand works awesome, it`s great on tight windscreen clearance.

FJ Cruiser. Nice truck, but, roof rack is a pain. Any Semi truck. Love to do them, just big. Rivits are a pain, running lights and air horn trumpet are in the way.
