I`m not huge on using tire shine. Usually I`ll clean them and throw some CG silk shine on them to give them the clean look but every once in a while I`ll use some gel to give it an actual tire shine. The stuff that I use is CG trim and tire gel but it doesn`t last long. What are yalls preferences on something that lasts and is easy to use and not insanely messy?

Evan, the product from OPT (Opti-bond?) certainly lasts a few washes. Meguiar`s "Endurance" also lasts for a couple wet/dry cycles.

GYEON tire

This is a good tire product. Decent longevity and does last a little longer than a water based tire gel.

I would add McKee`s 37 Tire Coating to the mix. Lasts much longer than Gyeon tire coat or any other tire gel. Leaves a nice satin type finish.

I use Tuf Shine on mine.

Here is what they looked like right after coating just before I mounted them on wheels for the summer.

Here is a pic of them late July just cleaned.

Here is a shot of how they looked just before I took them off and put on some all-season tires for winter in mid-late Oct. In late Aug I rubbed a curb with the right front and at that time i added another coat to them which other than washing with soap and water is all I have done. My rims are also coated with WG Uber coating

I only put around 5K on them but they did hold up well.

A better test will be how my winter setup holds up. Here is what they looked like just before I mounted them.

another vote for tuf shine. Ive been using it for a while now, it will easily last 6+ months and make washing tires much easier

I also use the TUF SHINE tire coating kit. If you do not rub on curbs 6 months is easy. I can wash my rims(McKee`s 37 coating) and tires (Tuf Shine) with ONR even if they are really dirty and they will look new again. No hose needed! Coatings are are great for daily drivers.

As with anything, a lot depends on proper prep. Make sure the tires are free of old dressings and gunk.

Yeah I spray the tires with wheel cleaner and scrub them before I do anything
