Currently wash with reset primarily. In between reset, I`m slowly just using up my stashes of Griots, and Perl.

I don`t foam lance that much but now that it`s that time of the year.....where salt, and jazz is the upcoming recipe
What`s your preferred soap for foam lance - that cut`s through the grime. While heavy foam is impressive, I hardly employ it in washing. If I break out the lance, it`s more about soak, rinse - and then hand wash.
Granted, the drawback I suppose to something strong enough to break the grime is the effect it has on the longevity of the lsp

I`m a Reload or Ultima user. The Ultima may cost a little more, but you don`t have to use as much.

Gyeon Foam perhaps? GYEON Q2M Foam - 1000 ml (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/gyeon-q2m-foam.html#.WCyGprIrK00)

THE ULTIMATE PRE-WASH FOR COATED CARS
Pre-washing, especially on cars where a paint correction has been undertaken, is very important to preserve the best possible visual effect for a longer time. Q2M Foam ensures a highly effective first step in the cleansing process as it helps to decrease the amount of dirt that needs to be removed during a proper, major wash with a mitt and shampoo.

SAFE
Most active snow foams affect coatings or protective layers (waxes) either by being strongly caustic or leaving a thin layer that can destroy their protective and self-cleaning properties. After diluting, Q2M Foam is totally safe for paint or even polished aluminium. It does not leave any residue after rinsing.

SAFE WASH FOR PROTECTED CARS
Q2M Foam provides the opportunity to have a home-made touchless wash. It dissolves gime and road-dirt, ensuring a gentle wash afterwards. Hence it`s characteristics - it not only is totally safe for your coating, but also for uncoated cars or surfaces like polished alloy rims or exterior trims.

PROVIDES THICK FOAM
A thick foam is one of the major benefits of high quality snow foams. Q2M Foam builds up a very thick and deep foam, sticking to dirty areas of the paint and dissolving dirt and grime. The foam should be washed away by a pressure washer before it starts to dry.

1:15 DILUTED
Q2M Foam is very effective, it dilutes even 1:15, giving great value for money. To keep the foam fully effective, the minimum dilution is 1:15, but in the case of very dirty vehicles or uncoated ones, it is advisable to use in a proportion of 1:5.

Do you get the same ~clean hydrophobic~ effect with Ultima like you get with Reset ?
I use reset. Never use Ultima.

Love their UWWP as a drying aid or bird bomb cleaner.
Ordered me some Ech0 though. That might trump/replace it

Yes, Ultima and Reset are very similar. If I had to choose just one it would be Ultima. Both are great and rinse clean, but Ultima wins by being more concentrated. I bought my gallon last year during the Black Friday Sale.

Economies of soap is not really on my radar.
Good soap/good wash regimine is more important after the LSP than all the hours of polishing....

You would be surprised at the people that balk at the $50 a gallon price for Ultima.
