I hav a coated SUV the coating was applied by the dealer and want to apply a second coating such as kamekazie or pinnacle black label. Can th second coating be applied or is it a waste ?

What exactly did the dealer use? My guess it`s a "sealant" you will probably be adding a better product.

You`ll be wanting to strip/polish off the dealer `coating` before applying a new coaying.

I have a flex 401. What pads and products are recommended for removal and paint correction?

401 or 3401 ?

Myself I would start with a white pad, then step down to a black pad, as long as that took care of any swirls/rids.

I would start with a decon wash, then clay, that should show what you are truly dealing with, then make pad/polish decisions.

Redspark- Much as I like it for significant correction, I can never quite get the desired final finish with my Flex 3401, but maybe that`s just me. Anyhow-

I`m a little curious about why you want to redo it. What about the current product is unsatisfactory? I know Autopia is all about Absolute Perfection, but you paid to have that stuff applied and a complete redo of a SUV is a pretty big project.

Not really wanting to redo the coating. My main focus and question was on can another layer be added to the coating , such as black label or kamekzie . Some of the replies lead me to believe I need to strip the d coating.
