The paint was lacquer and there was plenty of checking (failing). I stepped in hard and cleaned her up the best I could.

Enjoy!

Holy hell.... how do people let their cars get that bad?? I see that some of it was bad enough you couldn`t fix it, that`s just sick!

Excellent work as always :D

Great revival Sean! You would think if someone owned a ferrari they would care a little better for it! You make me jealous!

Holy Shiattt!! Lot`s of sharp edges on that fine looking relic. Did you get to drive her?

You have to be SUPER confident with the rotary to even consider that job. Wow!

That said, it had to be a fun detail.

I was 5 when that bad boy hit the streets -how old were you? (Just kidding).

After seeing the last shot, I have to believe the owner was VERY pleased with the results.

Thanks for sharing.

You don`t see many cars like that on the boards.

Well, there`s a lot of debate whether a Dino really is a Ferrari. Let`s just say it was a big departure for them at the time.

Thanks for the pictures out of the past. Great memories Nice looking ride. I have never worked on anything but clear coat vehicles. I assume that the process is the same. No matter. It appears that you took real good care of the paint.

There was a time that I could sit in something so low to the ground. I like the pickup in the garage. Wrong color but nice pickup.:)

Thank you :).

John: "wasn`t even a thought"

heffer: Could you elaborate? This is news to me.

cw: The pickup is next on the list to be detailed.

Glen: You have a sick mind, my friend.

The Dino was well received when first launched, by hard-core Ferrari enthusiasts at the time were less than enthused:

- it didn`t have a V12 like just about every other Ferrari at the time (it launched with a V6 originally)
- it was cheap, relatively speaking
- it had no Ferrari badging when originally launched, hence the pot-shots about it not being a real Ferrari
