This is available in a blue gallon jug at my Home Depot for 10 bucks and was wondering if anyone here has used it before with any luck?

It says it`s a high foaming formula that can be used in either a pressure washer or the traditional wash bucket.

Thoughts ?

Never heard of or even seen it. Try it out, let us know how it is.

Much as I like Zep for industrial/commercial-type cleaning products, I`d be leery of that Car Wash...I`d expect it to be pretty harsh. Now let`s see if I`m completely wrong about that!

Someone on autogeek posted the ph ratings of it.

Wild guess- it`s alkaline. Not that I believe the ph to be the big consideration...

At $10 a gallon it would make a nice wheel bucket soap if you don`t like it on paint.

Look at the dilution ratio if Zep car wash is 128:1, it isn`t as good a value as Meguiar`s Hyperwash or Optimum`s car wash. Especially when you buy at 20% or higher off on AG or Autopia.

6 oz of concentrate to 1 gallon of water according to zep.

Will this stuff strip my LSP?

At 6oz to one gallon, you would be using 18-30 oz of soap to use a 5 gallon wash bucket. I hope Zep has the wrong dilution ratio as that makes Zep car wash a horrible value.

Here it is from zep themselves

Oh, do people pay attention to the recommended dilution ratios? I mean, other than as maybe a starting point...

I don`t even *know* the recommended dilution of my 3D or GG shampoos!
