Another one down! This Lexus SC430 nicknamed "Jellybean" by the owners came in for a chance at a new life. It had typical markings from a 14 year old vehicle..Road rash, dents, wash marks, and just an overall dullness to it in the sunlight. It was missing that pop it needed. The owners originally just wanted a wash and wax. I spoke with them asking what type of finish they were looking to achieve. They wanted all the wash marks out and the paint to look as good as possible. After explaining a wax will not remove this type of damage they decided to go with a multi step paint correction, touch up, dent removal, and full interior.

Products used:
Shine Supply Classic Cut
Shine Supply Classic Polish
Shine Supply Throwback Paint Cleanser
CarPro Reload
Deionized Water

Tools used:
Hitachi Rotary
Rupes 21 Mark II
Rupes iBrid Nano

I started this one out with a heavy decon wash using Shine supply Smooth Move in a foam gun followed up with claying it. Once I was able to see the bare surface I proceeded with a test spot. I used a rotary with Meguiar`s wool pad and Classic Cut, Rupes 21 with an orange foam Griot`s pad and Classic Cut followed by a yellow Rupes foam and Classic Polish. After I got the first 2 steps done on the whole car I had my PDR guy (Paintless Dent Repair) come out and do his magic. There were about 10 dings on this car and he got every one of them out no problem. I finished polishing and wiped the car down twice with Throwback paint cleanser to remove any oils from polishing. This bright red beauty was topped in CarPro Reload which really made it pop.

I was happy with the results, and the "Jellybean" owners were blown away with it!

Mark your emblem placement before pulling and reapply 3M Double sided tape. Lots of trimming

I like the "Jellybean", you did an incredible job making that Lexus look fresh and like new.

Can the plastic emblems be lightly polished to remove the minor imperfections? Just curious, not critiquing your work. I really want to know if it can be done. I`m guessing the plastic chrome finish is very thin and it would be easier to buy new emblems. How long does it take you to tape the back of those two rear emblems? What a PITA. But I know how much better it looks when it is done correctly.

I`m sure it could be done to make it look better but I was short on time. One of those last minute deals..almost had the car finished and that was just sticking out to me so I pulled them quick. Took me about 30 minutes per emblem to tape and trim. These weren`t too bad..Lamborghini emblems suck to tape up lol

30 mins per emblem. Definitely worth the end result. I can imagine a Lamborghini emblem would be difficult to tape, small cursive font. thanks for sharing the jellybean

Amazing work. these are my favorite kind of write ups, before and afters showing the awesome gear used. I got the same pair of Power Beats wireless, they are very nice to use when detailing.
