MATH PROBLEM (gotta try this)

Here is a math trick, so unbelievable that it will stump you.

Personally I would like to know who came up with this and why that person is not running the country.

1. Grab a calculator. (you won`t be able to do this one in your head).
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code).
3. Multiply by 80.
4. Add 1.
5. Multiply by 250.
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number.
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250.
9. Divide number by 2.

Do you recognize the answer?

Doesn`t work if the last for digits of your number begin with "0"...

Actually this puzzle is quite easy.

Its like telling you to pick a number, add 5, and then subtract five. The number you`re elft with is the number u started with...

Fun to see it work though.

How did you get the calculator to read the "0"`s before the other numbers.

This is similar to the getting change for a $20 scam. :naughty For legal reasons I can`t spell out the formula like that, but it is just as easy to pull.

I typed in the 0, but it didn`t display it. When I finshed the problem the number was correct. I don`t have a clue how it works.

Me too although when I typed "0090" (my last 4 digits) it only came up as "90", but my number came out right at the end. :gotme:

I figured this one out one lonely day, one a calc you type: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 +1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 then hit = Every ten times you hit = you`ll get all 1`s then ten more you`ll get 2`s and so on. but it wont work will all calc`s. it has to be like a 10 digit or something.
