I`m curious how to get oooooooooold automotive tape off a car. A client had someone put tape around their headlights when they restored them. Well the tape was never taken off. He claims it`s been a year or 2. it`s not gummy, and a lot of it either fell off, or it was just applied horribly. I tried a good APC & WD40, no dice on either really. Since it`s still on there I`m guessing there has to still be stickness to it, but it doesn`t feel sticky at all and it`s just not coming off and I don`t want to do any damage. My next idea is getting a rubber razor blade and scraping it, but I`m wondering if there`s something I should try before that.

3M adhesive remover.
Sometimes you can find it at a Napa auto parts store..
Or look on the Internet? Amazon ? Ebay ?

3M adhesive remover.

THAT.

IMO every detailer oughta have a can on the shelf. Eh, I`d go so far a to say that most *every person* oughta have some for that matter.
