The prior Ridgeline was much loathed for calling itself a truck. Well Honda revamped the Ridgeline for 2017. Calling it a real truck now. I got to eyeball one yesterday at the Honda dealership. Not bad. Nice interior. Not sure about the front end...

The new Ridgeline definitely looks more like a truck now. Reminds me a lot of the new Chevy Colorado - but the Colorado is better looking :)

Still not a truck.

Car magazine who test drove it said it was really nice and not truck-like at all inside..
Think the biggest gripe was the tailgate is NOT lockable.. Wonder why they would not do that?

I was also looking into one of them yesterday as my daily driver is about to be taken away by my daughter . :o

I read the reviews and they made it sound very boring. Still only has a V6 yet the gas mileage is rated almost the same as a V8 ... they say it has a great ride .. like an Accord but not quite the agility..

The bed is also rather high due to the storage space under it ,,, might be a challenge for someone not tall ... :hmmm:

It`s only an inch narrower than a Ford F150 and I think 4" shorter, but can only tow 5k ...

wish they still made the El Camino ...

btw .. the driver in the article said the Colorado was crude compared to the Ridgeline as well as the Tacoma was pure truck

I know what you mean.. I loved those 396 El Camino`s !!!

They are still using that old V6 from the original MDX and while it is a very nice trouble free engine, it NEVER gets better than low-mid-20`s if that mpg no matter what you do, how you drive it.. For Years... And nothing changes..

Bought the ex a new MDX, way back when - think it was 2004 (?).. Great suv but mileage was always the same..

I think they like to absolutely milk everything down to the last drop and then squeeze it again to make sure they are not missing a few more drops..

it looks like an awkward teenager hitting puberty. it`s not a full size truck but doesn`t want to be a mid size truck

Lol, spot on post. The front end just looks too much like an accord. It needs to be more brute for a truck.

Honda makes some great cars and their engineers really know how to look down the road. As a company there is much to be envied. This all said, with respect to the truck, PASS.

I haven`t driven one yet. Mim pushing my wife in that direction. It would fit our needs if it drives more car like. I hated the old Ridgeline. This one looks more like a truck.

CUV with a small bed. Inside they are very nice but out side to me still looks awkward, Front end is Accord CrossTour and from the A pillar back is truckish. I bet for a lot people its a good vehicle but I don`t think it will sell any better than the last one.

It was probably design to compete against the Toyota Hilux.

The Tacoma is a great truck with a lot of new updates and well engineered bits. The GM twins are still behind the Tacoma`s curve. For example, the GM twins have that HUGE air dam at the front, whilst the Tacoma has a smaller air dam, and a lot of functional aero designs over the entire truck. The Ridgeline concept is fantastic unless one is looking for a body on frame towing experience with a solid rear end. However, the under the bed storage is a pretty cool party trick.

I like it. Worth it for small stuff to do. I liked the original one as well. For you El Camino guys, look up 2017 El Casino.

Isn`t it amazing how many people love the El Camino, but car makers won`t even think about trying to build and sell one? I bought a Subaru BRAT way back in the day. It was a fun ride. If it was available I might even consider one now for my son or a second car.
