I don`t Cate what anyone says, scooters are fun as hell to ride around town. I used to have a moped that looked like a cafe racer and it was perfect when I was living next to Washington D.C., just zipping through stopped traffic and $2 for a full tank of gas every two weeks of work commuting.

nice. how much are those fancy 3 wheeled scooters?

I rode a little scooter around Key West last time I was there...the local guy said "do you know what they call tourist who drive these scooters?" - "organ donors" :)

The three wheel vehicle is a striker, they start about 20k.

They look extremely cool, but I believe you have to wear a helmet when driving (unless Florida in the South). Kind of makes the driver/passenger look goofy.

In the places like Taiwan, that scooter will seat family of 5.

Mary B, if you are ever thinking about going the three wheel route, definitely check into https://www.eliomotors.com/. better gas mileage than any other three wheeler or other motorcycle, car, it has a/c, has airbags, and you stay dry in inclement weather. they will be in production soon and the price is very decent.

In Texas the legislature was fighting the new "seated and steering wheel" unit. Said they were not going to allow them on the roads. Have no idea how they worked with the older Polaris (with the handlebars), but they REALLY didn`t want this new one. Were I buying one I`d surely go for the seated version... waaaaaaay KEWL! :D Seen a couple around here lately, they sure turn a head.

Ok, I don`t get it. Why on earth would someone get that instead of a Miata? I`m genuinely curious.

I`m picturing one of those three wheelers behind a semi on a windy day and I`m chuckling to myself. They look top heavy. Maybe I`m old, but I always think "safety first".
