Some highly respected people dont use a washer on them.

I have an mk2 and have not done the washer mod. With proper technique you`ll be fine without it.

I took the washers out, and haven`t looked back.

Make sure to keep the shroud lightly greased though, or you`ll hurt rotation, and burn up the shroud.

I should noted that I use the Rupes system as it was designed.. Absolutely love it.

Congrats! Welcome to the Mark II club! I really don`t think a washer mod is necessary on the Mark II`s. Which pads are you going to go with?

Either Kamikaze bp or no washer imo. The Kamikaze really does turn it into a who other beast.

I put the washer in the second I took my MKII out of the box. For me it`s not about the added power, it`s about having a free spinning back plate to blow out pads. Getting the full potential of the tool is just an added perk. ;)

I`m halfway towards my Mark II (saving a little big each paycheck)

ready to put the duetto into secondary duty and step up my game

That`s a good idea I don`t see mentioned too often. Now you`ve got me thinking about washer mods...
