I feel like this is going to be the first of many Tundras I correct.... All white Tundras have the same exact fading issue. Come to find out, they use single stage paint and it just becomes oxidized over time and needs a polish.

The claying part was the most interesting to me. This truck is driven through the boondocks then parked at the refinery parking lot so it had tons of contamination and oxidation to chew through.

Nice save! I hope the owner stays on top of keeping it clean at least once every 2 weeks. It seems most if not all white Toyotas are SS. I see a lot of their white vehicles being used as fleet/business vehicles (especially corollas for Maid Services) .

The white SS Toyota i had to do was so trashed and it had all this sap that made it look like it had these freckles ALL over the paint. I saw it the other day and it is filthy again and the paints starting to look dull, the Lady has not washed it since i touched it months ago.

Seeing as you men are in Tejas, and that big honking Toyota Tundra Plant is outside of San Antonio, Im guessing you will Never see the end of those big dogs! :)
When I was in SA last year and previous years, it seems like there are more and more zillion of them driving around...

Solid white paint is composed of titanium dioxide making it the hardest paint of any color or clear. This may be the reason some manufacturers choose not to add a clear coat for protection. Of course it is less costly too.

Donbeezy - what pad did you end up going with for the polishing?

Thats what i imagined, when i tried a white polishing pad on my job it was just not doing it for me, i went with orange as well ( i used HD Speed since it was a budget job).
