The area you see surrounded by tape is where my dad, in the process of detailing his Arcadia, found some sap. Before I could give some advice, use of a water soaked microfiber towel and `elbow grease` left damage to the paint. He said it was a couple of spots in this area. I said I`d be happy to work on it next time I come by.

I was able to with the Porter Cable and SF4000 get it all with the orange pad or close enough to (no pun intended) finish it with the same polish on the white pad.

I worked on this area by hand. FG400 followed by SF4000.

I also took care of the hood once over with the Duetto and SF4000 on a Rupes Yellow Pad. The swirls were building up.

All the areas I worked cleaned up with the Wolfgang Polish Enhancer. Resealed it with Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. (what my dad uses)

Later in the evening I topped the car with Fuzion Estate Wax.

And because I couldn`t help myself lol, a few other things.

Good save! I hate tree sap. I have seen more damage from improper sap removal than I care to remember. Fingernails and pocketknives seem to be the favorites around here. Lol
