Has anyone used the Carpro Cquartz Fabric Coating on fabric convertible tops? I`ve been using 303 Fabric Protectant for years and was wondering if the Carpro coating will last longer. I searched and found a comment about it attracting dirt, which of course would be a bad thing on a convertible top, but no real reviews.

I am about to do a black Porsche top with it in two weeks. So if you can wait I`ll let you know how it works out.

I have used the original version on seats and it worked well.

So far I have only used ragtop and 3m scotch guard. I prefer the ragtop as it dried jet black and even with little effort. The over spray also came off the Windows easily using a dry microfiber towel.

Sadly none of the above last with insane beading they start out with for more than a season. So it`s a yearly maintenance deal for me. It`s critically important to keep the top protected or water can get into to roof and it takes forever to dry and can decrease the life of the roof. Make sure to get the seams with whatever you use really well too.

As a note I tend to over use things and had no issue with white residue with either of the above. I do 4 coats to be sure I get a whole season and don`t miss spots. It still only lasts about a year. And I re do it every April or May for the season.

Have and definitely am thinking about using on my Audi. Of course, I also have RaggTopp in case I chicken out.

I started off using Raggtopp products but did not like the spray going all over the place. 303 Fabric Protectant works fine, but I`m always looking for something better. Carpro says you can use Hydro2 on fabric, but I`m too chicken to give it a try. I`ll wait for someone braver than me to test it out. Thanks for the replies.

I checked around on some other sites and found no one that was willing to vouch for Carpro Fabric on a rag top. I did get a lot of people that have tried Nanolex Convertible Top Sealant and they said it lasted much longer than 303 Fabric Protectant or Raggtopp Protectant. The Nanolex products are getting a good deal of attention. I believe someone said it might soon be carried here on Autopia. I hope the Convertible Top Sealant is one of the stocked products.

Nanolex is a great name and I know people that love them but I have zero first hand experience. The ragtop does spray all over. I purchased a gun type over cap from ragtop and it was much more accurate. I also find it very easy to wipe off the glass since I do get it on the Windows all of them. I wipe it off with a dry mf towel after each coat and it easy. It last 1 season. I want a longer lasting product with now downside. I hope you try nanolex and report back.

Take a look at Pearl Nano textile
I like it better than my 303
Liquid actually stays above fabric and doesn`t absorb in.

Carpool Fabric coat looks good on a black soft top. It darkened the top to a nice rich black color and I noticed it`s not attracting linthttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160414/e86bb452b883c9e49449a6d0f3ea7dd7.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160414/491ec581e1305d4c65d74748f92905e2.jpg

I`ve been following this and CarPro now does not have a leather coating. The Fabric coating is not for leather. I don`t know if this is a reformulation or they just figured out it won`t work on leather.

Anything CQuartz offers now is junk.
