So we have this old Ranger at work that used to run around less than 5mph at a manufacturing plant for 5+ years. Last one it`s just been sitting, so you can imagine. Work was slow yesterday, so the boss said make it shiny. Uh, ok? There was too many RIDS to make it look showroom, so I did a one step for the most part to make it a little more presentable. Didn`t touch the tires with the inclimate weather we`ve been having. I don`t have too many befores, but you get the idea.

This is the mess of embeded crud from all the years at the plant. Dirtiest thing I`ve ever claybarred. Pretty much threw away that microfiber.

Let`s try to dial a process for the hood... The whole truck looked like this, dull, faded, and sad.

A pass with SSR1 was not giving me what I wanted, so I opted for a pass of SSR2.5 and then SSR1.

Turned out decent for a 18 year old truck...

Working. Surprisingly the rest of the truck just needed a pass of SSR1.

After application of EX Sealant. Sorry for the bad photos, didn`t think to bring my good camera.

All in all took 6 hours. I might have inadvertently got myself into doing the van fleet.

Decon:
XMT Speed Clay
Nanoskin Detailers Spray

Correction:
PB`s SSR1 (Black CCS Pad)
PB`s SSR2.5 (White CCS Pad)
PB`s SSR3 (Headlights)

Protection:
PB`s EX Sealant

Nizmo- Thanks for sharing this one! I bet that was kinda fun, making such an improvement with no pressure to get too Autopian about it.

How many times did you hear "You can do mine next!" or "You missed a spot" from coworkers?

It cleaned up great. Don`t be surprised if the boss man asks you to detail his wifes car....then his car....then his buddies car....etc etc

It`s more of a love-hate relationship me and the guys have with the thing, lol. Thanks!

Definitely! Didn`t need to drag the lights out, or if I went past my tape, no biggie.

Luckily it was only a field service manager, office manager, and the owner there! Couple times the office manager came out for smoke break and said "you ain`t done with that thing yet!" There are 25 vans/trucks in the fleet, in a way I would like to do them all, and in a way not. It is a heated shop, both buildings though.
