So I am thinking about splurging for this thing. I have read a bunch of different posts about compressors. I would like to start a master list of compressors you are successfully using with either the original or black. Please post the model and the specs and which tornador model.

Thanks.

We run our Tornador Black off of this little guy - Central Pneumatic 21 Gal. Compressor (http://www.harborfreight.com/21-gal-25-hp-125-psi-cast-iron-vertical-air-compressor-61454.html)

If you`re using the tornador consistently, the compressor will run non-stop, but it still works great. Can maintain 90 psi working pressure.

I foget the specs on my two-stage Craftsman (and it`s too wintery to run out to the shop and check right now), but it`s total overkill for my Tornador Black. Gotta adjust it way down at the air station that reel is connected to.

That unit zmcgovern45 has looks like a good unit for somebody who`s gonna be sensible about buying something cost-effective.

I don`t. I think they analyzed my purchase patterns because they opened one about a mile from my house :P I don`t know if I`d buy something I used heavily from them because lots of things are low buck Chinese quality, but for that tool that you need that you use only occasionally they`re hard to beat.

You running a muffler on it or anything? I`ve been eyeing that same one at HF just waiting till spring.

No, and it is noisy... I just put headphones in and ignore it. Perhaps a muffler would be a good idea
