Recieved the entire mirror bright lineup from a giveaway about a month ago on this forum. Trying to throw these products in my mix of waaaay too many products since they`re new and I`m sure some may be interested. Plus it`s just rude to receive a nice gift and not use it :).

I should also note i used uber qd dilution to aid in drying since i washed in direct sun, one panel at a time. And the hood got nattys black...whole car will get it next time but he didn`t have time for me to wax it today.

Thoughts:
The mirror bright shampoo smells great. It suds up very nicely. ..not as much as my pbl shampoo but these mirror bright suds lasted a very long time.

I used the lc wash wedge-i just got a new one bc i misplaced my other one and of course just found it putting my stuff back in my garage after i got back.
I really like the wash wedge. I want them to make a mini one too.

Its hard for me to judge its water releasing ability because this venza seriously needs some wax or sealant, but i didnt have any streaking issues using it in direct 1pm tx sun. Had some water spotting issues but that`s not the shampoos fault.
Uber qd as a drying aid solved those.

I think it will take me a very long time to use the 48oz bottle!

I`m not a frequent soap user...i do mostly rinseless washes actually but I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in it.

Slickness? Honestly I noticed absolutely none and it wasn`t until the uber qd wipedown that the paint became slick.

You could, however, see a nice glow left from the wax in the soap even before I added the uber qd.

Thanks for viewing.

Thank you.

I`ve been working on his three cars for over 3 years now. I actually only have a handful of regulars I will still do mobile for.

I don`t remember if I ever posted back a few years ago when I polished it and put synergy on there. Ill see if i can dig it up.
It looked amazing. I love the white picket fence and their bushes for reflections.

512detail- Thanks for the review, I`m always interested in shampoos :D

Interesting that you need to shake it up before mixing...guess it`s that "carnauba milk".

Great review. This was the one product out of the Mirror Bright line that caught my eye. I was curious to see how it stacked up against some of the other Megs soaps like Gold Glass etc. I threw a bottle in on my last order. Should be delivered today. Now I just need it to warm up enough to break out the buckets :)

Full disclosure i didnt shake it up...still appeared to work fine

Also used it in direct sun..broke two rules on the back of the bottle i guess

Some good info from Meguiar`s online on the dilution ratio.

Mirror Bright Automobile Shampoo is technically a 1 oz per gallon of water, 128:1 dilution ratio, but we actually state on the directions of the bottle to pour "1 glug" per gallon of water. We wanted to bring back some of the old school style into the directions for the shampoo. : )

awesome..i was wondering about the `glug`...I put it in a smaller container but I`d say I put at least 3 oz in there...I didn`t have a measuring cup on me (left them all on the soap shelf in my garage)

We wanted to bring back some of the old school style...[with the Mirror Bright stuff]...

We old-timers who grew up with the Mirror Bright line (in glass bottles of similar shape) are appreciating the nod to nostalgia, or at least I am. Not that I`ve bought any....

Sounds like we need a retro products thread if there isn`t already one

Heh heh, while I want to post something like "this whole Retro craze is so overdone..", the truth is that I dig it. And hey, I`m not *that* old and I`m not in that "back in the good ol` days..." camp; I appreciate today, warts and all.

Yeah, I sometimes wish I`d kept more of the old stuff over the years...but then I have too much, uhm... accumulated detailing stuff around here as it is :D
