Meguiars Mirror Bright Wheel Cleaner (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/meguiars-mirror-bright-wheel-cleaner.html#.Vpwh0p9MHqA)

Recently won the entire Mirror Bright Kit from a giveaway on the forum. Thank you ACC!

I wanted to try some of this stuff out. I decided to pull out my old factory alcoa srt wheels (black chromed by calchrome back in 2009) that I plan on selling soon. I figured I`d to give this product a go since it`s new and others might be curious.

Anyways on with the review....

First off its very important to this review that you note these wheels were well maintained so the color changing ability of this wheel cleaner is not properly illustrated (except on the barrels).

That being said here`s the wheel..pulled out of a box stacked in my spare bedroom since last july, sprayed with water prior to the cleaner

BUT these wheels were on my car for 7 years and 68k miles. I never really cleaned the barrels with anything besides soap and water.

Sprayed

Smell: not good, i used bdx, wolfs iron and this on my first wheel cleaned

They all smell bad. This is no exception. Wearing a mask and gloves are recommended.

Foaming action was nice compared to the other two mentioned above.

on the barrels it color changed quickly, within 15 to 20 seconds

The price is good. Its $8 on ACC. Compared to the other brands its a good buy IMO.

Thanks for viewing

I honestly didn`t know it was a foam sprayer until I pulled the trigger, it was a nice surprise to say the least.

Don`t expect anything pleasant from the smell it reminds me of iron X when I used it several years ago and doesn`t smell any better than BDX or wolf iron remover.
I have never tried iron X lemon, but the only similar type product I have tried that doesn`t smell bad, or as bad I should say, is DoDo`s iron remover

I don`t think it`s recommended for paint so BDX has it beat there on price and use but as a wheel cleaner, assuming the color changing actually is iron removal just like the other brands, then in my opinion we`re looking at a product other people should definitely consider

I use Meg`s DUB wheel cleaner and it sprays out green and turns purple. It has a foam sprayer on it and very strong chemical smell. Im guessing this has a similar formula besides being green. Even the sprayer looks the same, DUBS has a tab you had to push down on before spinning it to "spray"

I`ve never used DUB, do you think this is just repackaged and remarketed?

edit:nevermind it sprays white

Great review. Looks like you got better clinging action than what I got.

I posted up a review as well. Seems like they are the same product. The Mirror Bright sprayer does not have the tab like DUB.
