Alright , so I want to get the new detailing bag I just got filled to leave in my car. Throw out any thoughts you have on what to stock it with. I don`t do mobile details, so I don`t need a machine, pads, and polish. First thoughts are some micro towels, glass cleaner, and waterless wash. What else can you guys think of. Here`s some pics to give a layout of the bag:

Storage under the main area. Figure this could be a good place to keep a stack of towels

There`s straps on each end that have velcro at the top of the bag....not sure what the purpose of those would be

I don`t have a nice bag like that but use a tote bag. That I normally only throw in when I go to a car show. I stock it with a number of MF towels, a WW towel or 2, QD spray, a bug cleaner like Tarminator, a rinseless wash mixed strong(using the instructions on the bottle it is mixed to the strength of a QD spray, it is used for cleaning the Tarminator residue off), and a glass cleaner.

I am heading to my parents today and I have one packed to go. I`ll shoot a pick, and detail contents before we leave the in-laws.

FYI that bag can hold a lot. Pretty much a full inside and out wash session.

Sweet, thanks. Really it probably holds more than I`ll need as far as detailing supplies, so I was thinking a few general purpose tools may make their way in there as well.

Here is my "trip" bag. This is an old repurposed Targus padded laptop bag. Amazing what you can get into the thing. The smaller bottles/quantities are all I need for when I am on the road. When I lived in the north I would just bring the bag indoors to protect the products from freezing during winter. Now I need to protect the stuff from the heat. It will be 87 again today which means well over 100 in a closed car parked in the sun. Fortunately the padding adds some insulating ability but for any long term exposure, I haul the bag inside or toss it in an insulated cooler.

Holy cow you must be excellent at tetris!

For the bag...
It might be overkill but I recently started bagging my towels too. I really like getting towels in a bag from acc so i repurposed them and bought more.
30 pack of gallon zipper bags was like $2 @walyworld. since pretty much all my towels cost more than a lunch meal i figure why not be extra safe.

If you don`t have any poorboys in there might add natural look or bold n bright. Their glass cleaner is wonderful in sun too.
I use little 2 oz travel bottles from the dollar tree. Nice little tiny pump bottles.
3 pack for a buck, cant beat that for travel size bu you got some extra room in there.

I think the velcro would be to stick the back of a pad to, thats the only thing i can think of.

I am working on my sister`s Accra again from where she swiped a car. So I have my buckets and wash media in them with a gallon of 3d pink ( I will be wash/wax about 6 cars). My wheel bucket has my brushes and wooliesAlso a stackable Stanley tool box for the buffer, bps, pads, brush attachments, and polishes.

The bag however goes with me on trips with various mods on what I`m driving between the truck or Taurus.

Traveling I will use coin-op to rinse and use the brush on tires/silver and chrome wheels. Then do a waterless if not bringing buckets and top with spray wax/sealant (Megs d156, Aquawax, or WG Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant).

Hope it helps.

P.S.
Forgot to add the CarPro Essence, gonna test on soft Black Acura paint

I now have THREE bags, well one`s for my Metro Vac but it has plenty of room for some bottles and other various stuff. I hate bags because I want to fill them up, and that`s not cheap lol.

The Griots bag is NICE, Lots and lots of room. It`s not my favorite detailers bag, but imho for a polisher and polishing stuff it`s really slick. I have the Adam`s large detailing bag, which they stopped making. It`s about perfect imho.

The Adams bag, it has 6 elastic bottle holders on each side. I have those full + about 5 other 16oz bottles, a whole bunch of MF towels, hex applicators the Auto Finesse brushes, the medium and small Wheel Woolie and a few wax pots. And on the outside compartment I have the small Tuff Shine bottle & a Nanoskin Sponge. Adam`s has a new bag which is similar but smaller. You can fit a full sized polisher and have all 12 bottle holders full and cram some polish removal towels in there no sweat. It`s big, but not unruly so
