needing to fix the hazing on my windshield. whats the best glass polish out there? been seeing recommendations of cerum oxide? but also seen 3d coming out with a glass polish soon.

also, could i use glass polish on my shower glass too? hard water spots wont be removed with just regular glass cleaner.

Try some poorboys pro polish for water spots.

Poorboys is a chemical cleaner, so if it works great. If not try a more aggressive polish.

I have used Zaino Glass Polish, Duragloss and DP. Zaino and Duragloss work exactly the same and the DP was too watery (but still performed well). Process was to buy a small handheld polishing pad with orange, black and red and start with least aggressive pad (red waxing pad). For my car, I used the finishing pad (black) and liberally applied the product to the pad. After 5 or 10 minutes hand polishing, I used a microfiber and the windows were factory new. It removed all waterspots and the slight haze. Here are the links:

Duragloss Nu-Glass (NG) #755, glass polish, water spot remover (http://www.autogeek.net/duragloss-nu-glass.html)

DP High Performance Glass Restorer removes etched water spots from auto glass and restores perfect clarity. Apply with a polisher or applicator for (http://www.autogeek.net/dp515.html)

Try the ProPolish 2. It has both chemical and abrasive polishes.

glass is very hard to polish and unless there`s some cerium oxide in that polish, you`re really just cleaning the surface instead of polishing it. sometimes cleaning is enough, but if you need to polish the surface, CarPro Ceriglass Glass Polish (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/ceriglass-500ml.html#.Vgqhjy-FND8) is your best bet. use a good glass polishing pad too. hopefully, you are a using a polishing machine and don`t be afraid to really bear down as you polish.

ceriglass is the only one that states it contains cerium oxide in it. only thing DP glass restorer states is its citrus based

I may have to pick up the ceriglass then.
How long u think the shelf life is on it?

I`ve used mine well over two years with zero problems. the biggest threat is probably the product drying out in the bottle from a loose cap, etc. then I would just add some distilled water to thin it out.

A few notes.. it is a very dirty job, i would recommend doing it before the car wash.

Keep a spray bottle handy, the cerium dries on the windshield quick.

Wear safety glasses, the cerium slinged everywhere for me.

+1 on the messy part. it doesn`t take long to learn about over saturation. kinda like the first time you turn off your polisher and lift it off the surface before the pad stops spinning. :)
a good coating/sealant afterwards will help keep than new found clarity longer.:bigups
