My cheap, clear 100W garage light bulbs were never the best at lighting my garage space as a whole (and hid many paint imperfections due to poor lighting), so I took the opportunity to find an inexpensive bulb more suited to auto detailing. I settled on this GV 100W Equivalent LED bulb. I immediately noticed a huge difference- garage was much more illuminated, and every swirl and scratch showed up on the vehicles in the space.

Here`s a sample pic I took of the swirls now shown by the bulb:

Apparently this bulb uses light at 5000K, which is much closer to sunlight, and so it is great for seeing imperfections in paint. And best of all, it didn`t break the bank: $9.84 per bulb in-store, with a rated lifetime of 25,000 hours. I have no idea if it will last that long, but it`s a major upgrade on the cheap, and I`d recommend picking some up to improve the lighting in anyone`s garage.
