With the new Menzerna product labels, we thought it`d be a good idea to updated the polish comparison chart.

It is too bad it does not mention all the polishes sold by ACC such as SF4000 and it shows some that ACC does not carry like SF3500

Love Menz products, but trying to keep up with the name changes is frustrating. Maybe it is a German thing. I lived there for 3 years and found them the most anal retentive people I have ever met (generally). Not a bad thing. Germany (West Side) was the cleanest, most orderly place I have ever been. The label changes must be so we Americans get "it" just right, and that is a good thing.

so no more SF4000 and SF4500?

Old SF4000 = SF3500 (New and Improved Formula)

Old SF4500 = SF3800 (New and Improved Formula)

I know, it`s confusing.

SF4000 is now SF3500. The old polish names will eventually be phased out so they were left out of the new chart.

SF3500 will be available very soon on Autopia (it`s already on Autogeek).

They only have one warehouse

Funny that AGO has it, but Autopia doesn`t

Are we supposed to pretend that they are two separate companies?

I am just glad the Autopia Forum is kept separate

In this particular case it`s just because SF3500 hasn`t been added to the Autopia store yet. But you`ll find the inventory between AG and Autopia is not completely identical for a lot of different reasons.

For example you won`t find the glorious Autopia Tumbler on AG.

And trust me, no one is happier that AGO and Autopia.org are kept separate than me. :)

I guess because AG and ACC are separate business entities there is likely some financial stuff going in the background to properly account for stock (transferring assets, etc). PBMG is a distributor so ACC could "buy" from PBMG. It may be a financial game but keeping it legit. (all speculation but this is the internet).

Under the "previous product name" can we have the the names being phased out? Such as SF4500, SF4000, and etc. I think it would greatly help all of us.

Now, how will this affect Wolfgang products? Aren`t their polish, compound and glaze based off of Menzerna products?

If I`m not mistaken, I remember someone a while back stating, "even though some of those products are made by Menzerna that they are not the same or relabeled products." So in other words they are totally different products than any on that list.

Gotcha. Guess I`d gotten a different impression. I`d been led to believe that uber compound was FG400 with some additional polishing oils and such, and a similar relation with TSR and the glaze.
