I went to the NYS fair yesterday and on impulse, bought some royal blue wax as the demo looked good. Anybody have any experience with it? (It`s a liquid cleaner wax with Brazilian Carnuba).

Interesting. Gets good reviews. 6 months protection. And like the fact its a AIO. Report back with your findings.

In the demo, they sprayed white paint on a simulated auto finish and let it dry so it was stuck hard and would not rub off. The used the product on a towel to remove - claiming it removes grime, tar, tree sap, etc. while laying a coating of brazilian wax. He also took my white gold wedding band which hadn`t been cleaned in forever and didn`t come off that easy and cleaned it with the product, showing the tarnish left on the towel. They claim it`s good on auto clearcoat, fiberglass, glass and plastic. Even suggested it can restore headlight plastic that`s gotten hazy. They also demonstrated a surface so slick as to promote greater sheeting, reducing water spots.

On the bottle:

Royal Blue chemically cleans, dissolving discoloration and oxidation while leaving behind a protective wax coating.

Because Royal Blue contains no clay fillers it will not bake on to your paint like other waxes.

Royal Blue contains top grade Brazilian Ivory White Carnuba giving you the best gloss money can buy.

Removes: Tar, Tree Sap, Road Film, Bugs, Bird Stains, Oxidation and more.

Works On: Chrome, Aluminum, Fiberglass, Painted Surfaces, Glass, Plastic.

Great for: Cars, Boats, Motorcycles, RV`s, Jewelry, Shower Stalls

It was a fair deal (pardon the pun). 16oz Royal Blue Wax, 16oz Royal Blue Professional Spray Detailer, and a microfiber towel for $22. (I had them throw in another microfiber towel).

And the bonus: Family owned, AMERICAN MADE.

So I gave the Royal Blue Wax a test drive on my boat (a 2002 17` Glastron 90HP Ski `n Fish). It did a respectable job. Now the boat is white so the shine is only slight as white would have it. However, the 90HP Mercury OB is black and boy it now shines but there was a fair amount of grime that required some elbow grease. Using the product was a bit interesting. They indicate that there are no clay fillers, making it easier to wipe off when dry, which is true, but although they say you can let it dry, they recommend wiping off before it dries....so it`s kindof a cross between a liquid and a spray wax. I sometimes wiped off wet and sometimes let dry to a haze (wipes off easily).

Now except for the trailer, this is fiberglass and plastic, but it seems like a good AIO product with a high quality Brazilian carnuba. I`ll be interested to see how it fairs on the wife`s Buick Verano.

I washed the truck today (pressure wash/Aquawax dry) and decided to give the Royal Blue a go on the bumper, headlights and wheels (bugs and water spots off...shine on) ...Looks pretty good:

I`m using 303 Aerospace Protectant. I`ve tried many, but come back to 303. It gives a more natural `new tire` look rather than plastic or too much shine and I always have it on hand. I spray on and swipe with a brush and walk away.

How long does the 303 last on your tires? It seems to wear off almost instantly on the interior spots where I rest my elbow. Never would`ve thought it would last more than 5 minutes on a tire.

It holds up easily between weekly or every other week washes - but bear in mind that I spray on and merely swipe with a soft bristle (or paint) brush so it`s a much more liberal coating than a spray on wipe off - it seems to soak into the tire. Sometimes I`ll go back later and coat again as above.

Edit: And as with all tire coatings, best when tires are CLEAN and DRY.
