Hi, this weekend a local detailer prepped and installed CQuartz Finest to my new ride. Looks great so now looking down the road for taking care of it. He gave me reload and reset to use but indicated I should only use the soap version (forget which one of them it is) about every 4th wash. I am a previous Zanio user and really liked there soap but I am not sure that is the way to go now (I am almost out anyway and the stuff is rather pricey and hard to come by). Any particular soap you guys use that compliments the ceramic coating for normal washing.

Thanks!

You can use CarPro Reset for every wash... that is what it was designed for.

CarPro Reset was formulated as the perfect partner to nanotechnology based sealants and coatings, with cleaning properties tailored to their unique needs. Utilizing Intelligent pH Surfactants, Reset breaks down road grime and traffic films with the power of an alkaline cleaner, whilst being as gentle on the surface as a pH-neutral shampoo. Afterwards Reset quickly rinses free from the surface, leaving behind no soap residues or interfering silicones, and restoring the beading and dirt releasing properties (The ‘Hydrophobic Effect’) of the surface to help maintain its protection. Combined with excellent lubrication, a strong foaming action for improved dirt suspension, and a high dilution ratio, this makes for a highly effective and economical wash. At the same time, Reset is almost entirely based upon naturally occurring, organic ingredients, making it as safe for the environment and for the user as it is for the vehicle. If dirt is hiding the beauty of your car or motorcycle, then you know that it is time for a Reset!

^ I agree with Zach and have the same experience with CQ original and CQUK.

You really can use any soap you want. Its just that Reset washes everything clean and doesn`t leave anything behind. So if you like Zanio then I would use it.

I`d stick with CarPro Reset. It`s the peanut butter to a coatings jelly.

I use reset for regular washes but every 4th or 5th wash I use 1Z Perls in combination with Hydro2. It acts like an extreme glossifier and adds even more protection + life to the coating. 1Z perls is a very interesting soap with mild cleaning abilities that has a sealant in it (Quite good for regular washes, lasts about a month), then use the hydro2 on top of it and you have an extremely deep wet look + the added hydrophobic refresh for the coating.

Sounds like the way to go. Hopefully one of the sponsors here sells these products as I think I would like to go this route as well.

1Z Einszett Perls Gloss Shampoo (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/1z-981405.html#.VbfX3LNVhBc)

CarPro Hydro2 Touchless Silica Sealant 500 ml. (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/cp-1195.html) - Note that size will last about 30 - 40 times IMO. It actually works out to be very cheap per wash (There`s no need to do it every wash, big waste)

As a former installer I would recommend you stay with a soap designed for coatings. Reset or Gyeon bathe or bathe plus which has coating properties.

Some soaps have a tendency to leave a hazy residue on coatings. I am sure you spent a lot on the finest so I would take care of it as instructed

I agree, that said...

I spent more hours Jeweling my paint (To get insane clarity) the polishing it and coating. I can tell you Perls enhances the clarity an depth. I have over 30 different soaps from Iron X snow foam to lusso oro bathe. Nothing beats this except maybe 1z Exclusiv. Both of those soaps are safe an very neutral, all your doing is adding a bit more protection. That said, Perls must be applied out of the sun in shade just like hydro2.

Reset works wonders, and Reload not really needed. Maybe couple times a year depending on how much you drive. Also Carpro just released Hydro2 soap that is incredible on a finest car. I was one of the tester and using it I`m sure would stop the need for reload treatments. Also Iron X is good too from time to time.
