Trying out a new fabric protectant for the first time is a little sketchy at times because fabric is a little hard to clean unless you have a carpet extractor, tools, brushes, chemicals, etc. You begin to doubt whether the new product you`re using is going to protect the way you want, if it will discolor the fabric, etc. Since I have old seat covers in my car, I decided, what the heck, why not apply the 3D Fabric Protector and see what it does. I applied two coats to the bottom of my passenger seat, it is easy to spray on. I let it cure overnight till the next day.

The 3D Fabric Protector turned out great! There was no discoloration in the seats, besides the seats being old/used. Actually IMO it made the seats look a little better! The water beads off like crazy, water does not like this stuff! It does have a light chemical smell to it. I didn`t mind the smell too much, but if you have a sensitive nose then I would definitely spray a fragrance smell after and leave the doors open to let it air out. All in all this is a great product, I think I`m going to use this on my new shoes I just got. :bigups

I was thinking how it compares to 303 Fabric protector.

I`ve been wanting to get some 303(only have convertible top cleaner)protector, for those of you who have it.... does it repel water like in the shots of the 3D product shown above ? I don`t mind owning both 303 and the 3D Spray if they both do different things, but if they "act" the same/similar.....

would be nice if somebody had an old back seat they could clean really well and try a few different protectants on for testing. maybe this 3D stuff, then 303, then ScotchGuard.

Curious as to its durability. how many times can you get in and out of your car before it wears away?
