While at the carwash I had a bottle of a super soapy solution made from dawn soap in a spray bottle... So I could soak down under carriage from it being covered with oil from a bad gasket or rear main seal....haven`t figured out which yet...as I was rushing I picked up the bottle of meguiars hot rims chrome cleaner and just started sprayin it on glass and trim... Thinking it was dawn soap solution and it couldn`t hurt any of that...when I finally I figured out it was the chrome cleaner I freaked out and started to power wash it off every spot I sprayed it...now all my glass is stained with splatter marks where I sprayed chrome cleaner and I have no idea what`ll get rid of it or how.
Pleals..please.. HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Sounds like you etched the glass. You will need to call someone to polish the glass professionally. It`s not easy to do.

yes that is certainly glass etching. its possible it can be fixed, but I wouldn`t be too sure of that. acid etches glass, plain and simple.

Try a dedicated glass compound such as, CeriGlass, and apply it by machine. Using elbow grease won`t work.

Thanks for all help..I`ve went over windows with dawn, meguiars wax (red bottle), ultimate compound from meguiars,...
I was using a soft buffer with these. When I called meguiars the guy I talked to told me to try the ultimate compound...it didnt work though. I talked to him 3 more
times and sent pics. After he talked to the main guy they couldn`t come up with anything...I have pics, just have to save them to phone from email I sent guy at meguiars...my laptops broke and only have phone.

What do you mean by soft buffer?

Not a DA...Like one those $35-$40 buffers like u get at Walmart...like 4-5 years ago this guy working at a detail shop said that`s what u call them and not a speed buffer..I didn`t argue..I just agreed...don`t matter to me..

unless that concoction contained phosphoric acid (the only acid that will etch glass), some serious machine polishing with ceriglass should clean it up. glass is very hard to polish with regular polishes and the cerium oxide in ceriglass should do the trick. a decent polisher and glass polishing pad is really needed.

I doubt that buffer you have will have the power to remove it. A DA with some DP glass polish may work.
