I know not everyone has access to a paint shop or two stage paint but for those who do, this is a quick way to know if a product has silicone or anything else that might cause problems in a body shop.

Paint a test card with clear paint. Then, while the clear is still wet, put a drop of whatever product you want to test onto the wet paint and watch the reaction. If the paint fisheyes, you have a problem, if not, you`re good to go.

Remember, this test is only for products for use in a paint shop where contamination leads to problems. There are lots of products out there that are just fine everywhere else and work great because they silicone or something like it. They just can`t be used in paint shops.

All the best,
Robert
