I got some whitewalls on my car(I fell in love with them ever since I had some on my `76 buick) and im wondering what you guys use to clean them? after talking a little with Ivan from detailed image(GREAT GUY AND COMPANY BTW) I will never use sillicone wheel dressings again. Plus, its hard to get the white to really pop once they get dirty. I have used bleache wite in the past and it does a good job at getting the white white, but the black/brown sometimes runs over with dresings.

What do you guys think of bleache wite and what is a good dressinng that wont smear over the white?

I have found that LAs Totally Awesome is amazing on tires, and cleans up white letters quickly and leaves them nice and bright. Best part about it is you can get a bottle for $1 at many dollar stores.

Back when I had an old Buick, I used an SOS or Brillo pad on the whitewalls, I forget where I learned that trick from.

That`s how I always did them on my Mom`s car when I was a kid. Worked great!

Big fan of bleche white. May take a couple applications but always gets tires clean!

thanks for the replies guys! I was just curious if bleach white was one of those things I should never let touch my cars again(like lucas oil, NEVER AGAIN!) I have used scothc brite/steel wool/pummice and it works great to scrub everything off. thanks for the comments about a good tire shine

Westleys Wheel Brite..nothing better. Just make sure it`s the old version !!!

That`s like that old Rodney Dangerfield bit when he asks for directions, he don`t get no respect "make a left where the old Johnson house used to be" or "make a right a half mile before the road forks".
