I am concerned that if I purchase a Gloss Coat syringe to re-coat over my wife MDX (It has OC 2.0) I will not have enough product to do the wheels and paint (Jambs) 2 coats all around?. I had plenty of product with the 2.0 but the Gloss coat has 50% less?

Can someone verify that there is enough product?

Thanks

I`d go with the 20cc`s.

To give you some info, I used 8cc`s to Gloss-Coat my Sable. Paint only. It does have a lot of paint surface area and I used the included yellow foam applicator pad which soaks up more product.

I hear of guys using the CQuartz applicator and coating similar sized cars with 5-7cc`s.

If you`re coating the paint and wheels on an MDX, I`d go with the 20cc`s.

I look in the store and the only Opti-Gloss product I see is for $ 59.99 for 10 ml.

What is the 20 ML?

Also looks like all the reviews are for OC 2.0 on that link?

I think Ray just meant to buy two. I thought AG sold some in 20cc though? I used a little custom applicator block kinda like the cquartz one and microsuedes and I used about 6cc on a Dodge Charger (not on the wheels) which is fairly big. However I don`t think 10cc`s would be enough for the whole MDX and the wheels but if it`s no rush to coat the wheels you could always try to see if it`s enough.

I just hope the 10 cc would do all the paint 2X. It such a production to prep the paint and coat the car, setting time aside for it to cure out properly that to run short kills a lot of my time.

Plus the fact that for $ 59.00 I feel (IMHO) I deserve enough to do the whole truck, wheels 2x and have some left over to keep my from running out. 10 cc for 59.00 is crazy expensive as are most coatings. but this price just doubled right?

It is a clear example

Autopia has the 20cc`s for $100 just like AG does….it`s just not listed in the items list (yet?)

I agree with Ray….if you want full coverage and have a medium sized to larger vehicle, then go with the 20cc`s.

I didn`t use the yellow foam applicator….instead I used the Carpro Block and Suede applicator and it still took about 7cc`s to completely cover my 15` Mazda6, about 6cc`s to cover my wife`s 14` Mazda3, and about 6cc`s to cover my Mom`s 14` Toyota Prius which I just did this last weekend while I was visiting her in so. cali.

My experience with OC 10cc is that i did four winter Porsche 991 turbo S wheels, including the barrels with just enough left over to do one more wheel, barely. It went on very smoothly with no excess on any of the many surfaces in the intricate wheels. I was surprised that it did not go further so if I planned to do my Panamera GTS, which has a LOT of surface space, I would have to get two 10cc containers or a 20cc if it is available for a somewhat better price. Might be better to have it done if the detailer will remove any imperfections/scratches before applying the Opticoat. of course, it would have to include the wheels.

It is a lot but I think it is worth it for my personal vehicle especially how easy it is to apply. I do wish that they will drop the price some day though.

The 20cc syringe is an Autogeek exclusive. So it`s only available on the AG site: Optimum Gloss-Coat Paint Coating (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-gloss-coat-paint-coating.html)

Give me a call and I can give you the same price for 20cc`s over the phone, or leave a note in the comments section.

I`ve seen several posts that say you can easily do a whole car with 5cc of GC, I applied it just like I would with OCP and it took 9cc to do a Tesla Model S (paint only). If you want 2 coats I would suggest going with the 20cc to be safe.

As long as you use a suede applicator you can easily coat any vehicle, wheels, glass, and trim included with 10cc. This stuff goes a LONG way further than 2.0

If you mean it doubled from the price of OC 2.0, no that`s not right. At the time of its demise, OC 2.0 was $80 for 20cc, or $4/cc, while GC is $6/cc.

Although, to be fair, I believe that when OC 2.0 first came out, it WAS $60 for 20cc, but over time the price went up.
