2008 Infiniti G37S. I believe this is the 3rd time I`ve done an exterior detail on this car over the past 4 years or so. First time I detailed it, the paint was thrashed, buffer trails everywhere. The last two times, just typical wash induced marring/swirls. Now that the owner has a house and it will be easier for him to wash it now, he said no more tunnel washes.`

2014 Ford Mustang V6. The early 2000s Mercedes E320 he`d bought his daughter proved unreliable (uh...yeah) so he picked up a new Mustang, which I believe makes 7 total in the household now. Paint was actually in excellent shape, they bought the car a day off the delivery truck so the dealer didn`t really do any prep to it. Decided at this point to not do any polishing, owner said that can wait until spring since the paint was swirl free.`

2014 Lexus IS350 F Sport. I had coated it back in April 2013, since that time, the rear bumper had been refinished after a minor fender bender and the driver`s front fender and hood had some marring from the dealer`s automatic car wash (which has now been clarified that they are NOT to wash the car anymore), rest of the car looked really good. Owner has been maintaining it with ONR Wash and Wax so it was otherwise still swirl free.`

2008 BMW E93 335. This is my brother`s car, originally coated with Opti-Coat 2.0 back in early 2011. Unfortunately, his growing business has left him little time lately to wash his car himself, so he`d been taking it to the local tunnel wash. Biggest issue was the sides, apparently the "wheel scrubber" also scrubs the sides from wheel height down. Ugh. Decided best course of action would be to repolish and re-coat the car. Since he plans to have the front end (rock chips) and back bumper (poor repaint prior to him buying the car) he decided to stick with 2.0 this time and switch to OC Pro whenever he gets the work done on the car.`

1988 BMW M6. Original owner purchased the car in 1990 from the owner of a local BMW dealership. As far as she knew, other than the hood (which she had repainted 10 years ago) the paint was original so she was quite surprised as was I when the sides were base coat/clear coat instead of the expected single stage paint. I got to the C pillars and noticed blending marks and that`s when I discovered the roof was single stage, as was the trunk lid. And the single stage paint was brutally hard. Clear coated areas were hard too, but not recent BMW clear hard. The owner wanted the car coated (we`d previously coated her Porsche Boxster) and while she wanted as much correction as possible, she also didn`t want to pay $1000+ either. She also realized the trunk lid needs a repaint, apparently before she really was into car appearance care, she would set stuff on the trunk lid. Anyway, able to get the clear coated areas pretty close to perfect, the trunk lid especially and the roof to a lesser extent, are maybe 80-90% corrected. Owner still opted to have it coated since she loves how easy her Boxster is to care for. She even had an obviously used gallon of ONR Wash and Wax in the garage!`
