2015 WRX

I purchased a new WRX a week ago and did some detailing over the weekend. I thoroughly washed her and then used a clay bar to get further paint contaminants removed. Then I washed her one more time and followed that up with a traditional carnauba wax applied by hand. I have noticed water spots beneath the wax. In retrospect, I should have gone from claying directly to waxing.
I do not want to permanently hurt the paint. If needed i can remove the wax and redo the car. Thoughts? Thanks for your suggestions.
