Ok, so I have a 96 4runner that I really dont give much of a hoot on what it looks like. The whole front end is in need of a respray. What I do care about is basically just keeping it in clean order and making for easy washes. So for my next road trip I am thinking about waxing the front end, and instead of removing the excess just leaving it on for the duration. Yea it may not look great, but I am hoping it will make it easier to remove the bugs/grime/anything with a simple wash or even quick pressure wash. So would leaving the excess on, say a week long, damage the chrome, or paint at all? I know there is a solvent in the wax to make it soft and easy to apply, but that completely evaporates off right?
