In fall I polished and put 2 coats of 1000p on for winter . I think most of it is gone . I want to do a refresh coat of wax or sealant BUT not 1000p . What would you recommend ??

`

845 , M21 , OCW or ??`

Why not another coat of 1000P??` I`m curious since I have a can but haven`t used it yet on the whole car.

`

You might want to add Powerlock to your list.`` It gets great reviews for slickness, shine and durability and supposed to be super easy to apply and remove.``

Fallguy- I`m guessing that you just don`t like how the FK1000P looks on that particular vehicle (otherwise, why not just use it all by itself).` I wouldn`t expect any problems with any of the products you mentioned, I`d just go by which you`d rather have on there- 845 for an overall decent product (OK on trim, easy to do); M21 for durability and its look (if you like it); OCW if you just want to do it quick/easy and don`t mind redoing all the time.

`

Regulars here probaly *know* what I`d do, but I`m kinda a FK1000P fanatic ^_^

I think the 1000p is a good sealant/wax but was looking for something easier to work with. I have a lot of grained trim on my 4Runner . Maybe Ill do 1000p again, it will be summer soon and temps will be hot.`

`

I think M21 is very underrated on these boards. Also does not do a number on grained trim , pretty trim friendly.

`

The 845 is also a good durable product. good shine and protection.`

`

I`ll be doing a 1000p on my wifes Rav4 also so maybe I`ll hit mine too right away.`

I`ve become very happy with the look of the 425 . Even makes my grained trim look darker.`

Nothing. If you like the look of something else instead, use that as often as you need to.`

Fallguy- Ya know how I`m such a huge fan of FK425?` Well, since you mentioned it on trim....I actually prefer ValuGard`s Fast FInish on black trim.` So much so that I keep it on hand just for that (even use it on trim that I`ve sealed with UTTG).` The FastFInish is almost one of those "you just gotta try it!" products, it`s not just another QD (actually, I don`t really like it all that well on paint, not the same "pop" as with FK425).` Just another way for me to spend your money!

Top it with Sonax Brilliant shine detailer. Good looks and epic water beading/sheeting.

Hey, Porta!` How, uhm...Accumulator-proof is the Sonax?` Like, any worries about streaking/etc.?

The 425 has done some good sprucing up on the 1000p. I watched closely as I went through the touch less was yesterday and its still beading , must have just needed a good shot of 425.

`

Anyway I`m going to do another 2 layers of 1000p for summer and just keep the 425 for my DS.

`

One thing I noticed is the 425 also works great on things like my grained trim and interior too. It does not shine but gives a good natural appearance. `

`

Thanks all for your input. `

Fallguy- Fpr an even less glossy finish on trim, try ValuGard`s Fast Finish.` It`s become my go-to product surfaces that I don`t want *too* glossy* (generally, that means I use FastFinish on everything except the paint and polished/plated metal).
