I was hired last week to come out and clean this car. I honestly didn`t do anything super special, they trailered it in and it was dirty. The Texas Bitcoin Conference held an event to promote the whole bitcoin thing and they were able to get the owner of this Lamborghini to bring it down for the event. This is a 2014 model, and it`s pretty nice.

Just figured I`d share it with y`all.

Happy Detailing!

They tout bit coin as being private and untraceable,

but every transaction is public knowledge, so there is no privacy.

I have felt sketchy about bit coin for 10+ years.

Yeah, I`m a bit of a skeptic as well. But I must say, if this client of mine purchased his bitcoin back in 2011 when bitcoin was $0.30 cents per bitcoin, and then he purchase the 2014 Lamborghini in late 2013 when they sky rocketed.....here`s the math:

`

$209,995.00 Lambo + $1,600 Delivery Fee (out of pocket)

`

$0.30 cents per bitcoin in 2011

`

$968.42 per bitcoin in November 2013 (when he bought the car)

`

for a total of 216.8433 bitcoins for the car

`

So, if he purchased these in 2011 when they were just $0.30, he was able to drive away with a 2014 Lambo for $65.05 + $1,600 Delivery!!!

`

That`s absolutely insane!

`

I at times I wish I could take a gamble on something like that....oh well.

Oh yes, I saw in bitcoin when it first started. Those coins were being given away for things at first. We could do surveys and stuff for them.

I still don`t know what my stash is worth.

But yeah, it`s profitable. Just like most investments, it`s about timing. I was in bit coin in....... 2009 maybe?

That`s insane, as they say hindsight is always 20/20.

The flip side of the Lambo story: some years ago there were very few places to spend bitcoins. One of the few was a place that sells specialty socks for hiking, etc. So someone who paid $12.00 for a pair of those socks in 2011, could instead have nearly $40,000 of bitcoins today. Ouch.
