Occasionally will toss on some wax (usually OCW or whatever I might be testing) every 4-5 months, otherwise just ONR wash and wax. Not bad for paint that will be 10 years old in May. :)

It should last another 10+ years the way you take care of your cars.`

Thanks, David, that`s the plan assuming the drive-train is solid. Might get something newer in a year or two and keep the Accord for work.`

Just coated my son`s new (to him) Prelude. His rusted out POS Camry has developed a gas leak to go along with the rusted exhaust so he needed something else for his last two years of college. Paint job is a so-so cheapie repaint, pretty bad orange peel and questionable clear coat thickness so I just polished it out and coated it. Lens coating on the headlights, glass coating on the windshield. Should help the paint job last longer. Mechanically, the car is pretty solid.`

That Accord drivetrain should hold up for a while!` Its not a V6 so the transmission has a chance :)

`

Nice looking cars (both of them).....I really liked that gen Prelude.

Keep the accord for work?

You can fit everything in a sedan?

Sounds as if I need packing advice from Scott :)

I guess that is the power of ONR, less equipment.

You know, if your sedan gets too crowded, I can take

one otyyyf those rupes off your hand.

I`ve had opti-coat on my HHR SS for the past 3 years and it still looks awesome! the car is silver so a rather "boring" color but I get comments all the time about what wax I use cause the silver really pops! lol. Love me some opti-coat!

It is a V6...With the car de-badged and exhaust blacked out, its hard to tell. Intake resonator is removed, so is the mid-muffler and resonator and it has an XLR8 J-pipe (which also eliminates the third cat), TL Type S rear anti-roll bar and DC Sport FSB along with 16 lbs RSX wheels (OE wheels were 25 lbs each) so it runs better than most people would expect. Just passed 149k miles last night, its a very late (05/40) 2004 model so it was made after the transmission issues were sorted out.`

Everything fits, including 4 now emptied gallon jugs of ONR now filled with water.`

Wow! I didnt realize you had a "sleeper" Accord (hehe, a sleeper version of a sleeper? ;) )

`

Not sure Honda/Acura ever really fixed the transmission issues, personally!` My 2K Accord went thru 2 transmissions in 60K miles, our 2K3 TL lost its first transmission at 65K miles.` On the flipside, Honda made good on it....minimal cost for the Acura, even though we were well out of the warranty time period, and the Accord transmissions were fully covered under bumper to bumper.

My VIN is past the recall for the transmission. Switched over to the DW1 ATF Honda now has, noticeably improved shift quality.`

`

My Accord is definitely stronger than my 4AT 5.5 gen Maxima was, although pretty sure my 6MT 5.5 gen Maxima would still be a bit quicker. The J series motors respond well, some guys on v6performance are making in excess of 260-270 hp at the wheels with bolt ons and stock cams. J32/35/36 swaps are becoming popular too, although the J32 is the only one that is really plug and play. Stock ECU can handle it, but not the added displacement of the larger J series engines. Some of them are good for 320+ hp at the wheels.`
