Just drilled out the light holder and used the existing threaded nob to hold it in place:

btw - where on Long Island? I`m a transplant. Used to live in Queens and then Oyster Bay - rented what used to be the Butler`s quarters on an old estate on the bay.

Very nice setup!!!`` I only take care of my own cars so can`t justify the cost of an elaborate setup like yours, but put together this for about $30 plus the cost of the bulb.` Have to move it around allot, but it serves the purpose and the single diode LEDs sure do highlight the swirls.

Like your setup. Was thinking of using a couple of tripods myself but felt the weight and my clumsiness was to much of a risk of it tipping over.

Need to flip my setup around to face the other way so the cord wraps are where they should be. Also thinking of mounting the stand on some sort of platform with wheels ...

I just put together a setup using two of those kind of bulbs on a photography stand......works soooo good

Was driving accross the kosciuszko street bridge one day many, many years ago and couldn`t see Manhatten for all the yellow pollution in the air.
