What do you guys do if you run out of steam on a car you`re detailing, and it sits in a garage over night after the first correction step and you`re anticipating another step and sealant application the next day? Would you first do a 50/50 wipe down or maybe use some QD? My product is not dusting much at all, but the garage is a bit dirty/dusty... Thanks!

I`d give it an ONR wash.

Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately I don`t have any ONR or a waterless wash product.

So my options as I see it are:

1. two bucket wash - but would have to re-tape

2. spritz and wipe with Z2 - but might affect subsequent polishing & sealant with HD polish and HD Poxy

3. spritz and wipe with 50/50 IPA - might not have enough lube to safely lift dust

Any other thoughts would be appreciated!

tdowns187- Next time, I`d formulate the overall plan around not trying to do the whole car in one go.

The Z2 shouldn`t be any issue for the HD Polish, it`ll cut right through. I`d worry that the IPA wouldn`t have sufficient lubricity and/or encapsulation.

I vote z2 wipedown fwiw. All that will be on it is dust. If HD polish doesn`t rake care of the marring, if any, left behind you`re doing it wrong lol

My garage stays pretty clean so I just use my compressor and blow off the car and move on to the next step. I haven`t had to do it often, but it has happened. If you have a dusty/dirty garage I don`t think I`d trust that though.
