whats the solution here? anything i havent thought of?

its a fresh repaint that is beyond soft...worse than jet black BMW

after compounding with 100 and MF pad, I went powerfinish with hydrotec tangerine pad. I wiped it down and let it sit for a while. Came back to it, now there is dust embeddd into the paint! I am thinking that the hotness of the compound/polish dust settled into the paint after each section since the paint is so soft????

tried the following to remove:

pressure wash with DI water

pressure wash with DI water and APC

light clay with ricardo clay

CG EZcream glaze with black pad

sonax perfect finish with black, green, hydro pad

megs D300 with MF pad

100 with MF pad

in the end, nothing worked to even budge it? am I SOL here and it needs to be resanded (crappy job, crappy paint in the first place)

Not enough information. Like what paint, lacquer, rattle can, urethane, urethane enamel, etc.

What reducer, was it to be catalized, (additive to paint/reducer before shooting), was there high humidity, what was the air temp, did you have good moisture filters on the air line, what was the amount of time following application before buffing was done, etc, etc.

Those are just part of the equation.

I seriously doubt that paint that was cured enough to buff could sustain dust to embed itself into it. I think you might not have noticed this before buffing?
