1989 Corvette Convertible,

So disclaimer, this is a WIP, and might take me 1-2 weeks to really finish. Working 1 body panel a day is about the limit of what I want to do and still enjoy my weekend. I got so excited at the results I decided to start the thread anyway though.



I had concerns initially being that this is 25 year old paint, and also because being my first fiberglass bodied car, that the paint appeared unusually thin (you can clearly see the imperfections in the fiberglass gel coat)



I decided to use the vette to test out 3D`s products and give back a little to our forum hosts here.



16oz of HD Polish and HD Uno

Here`s a before, the car probably hasn`t been corrected.. ever maybe? (there are only 85K miles)

First, the claying, and clearly, someone had over sprayed the car prior.

3 passes with HD Uno and MF pad later..

with 4 passes of Polish, it really pops.

left is with HD Polish, center is uncorrected, right side is HD uno only. The difference here is noticable under the light but it becomes harder to see under the flourecents, I`m not sure if I`ll go over the car with the HD Polish considering the condition and age of the paint, just removing the swirls and restoring the color with Uno is a dramatic difference.
