Just put a coat of DG105 on my truck a week ago and want to put 845 on instead because i like the look and durability better. Do I need to re-polish or will the 845 bond ?

wax will typically bond over sealant, not the other way around IIRC.

I contacted Collinite about putting 476 over HD Speed and they said it would be fine--no issues. Since both 845 and 479 are hybrid sealant/wax I would think you`d be fine over 105.

I do that combo all the time...4 parts 501 pre mixed with 1 part 601 with a Green B&S pad, followed by 4 parts 105 pre mixed with 1 part 601 with a B&S black pad, then top with Collinite 845 on a B&S red pad. I call this the Richy combo, as he recommends it. Great looking and lasting combo, easy 6 months out of it.

Both Collinite and HD are hybrid waxes, that is to say is polymer-based; so as stated above they will bond with each other

I use Collinite on top of 101 and 105 all the time. It looks great! I haven`t found anything Collinite doesn`t work with.

My car is a year old and diamond white. I have been using 105/601 topped with 111/601 and topped again with 845. Excellent!!

The mixing is easy, I do .5 ounce of the 601 bonding agent with 2 ounces of 501 in a small squeeze bottle, same thing with the 601 and 105. The 601 causes the 501 or 105 (or 101 and 111) to cure immediately, allowing you to forgo waiting 12 hours between your next step. It also increases the durability. Good stuff!!

I`m actually curious as to how you came up or came to find these ratios and their curing immediately etc. Was this from DG?

Yes, DG, as well as several DG users on other forums, ie Richy, RWright, etc...If you check DG`s website, here is a link, look at the Step Saver Tip. 16 oz. - Duragloss TPP (Total Performance Polish) (http://www.duragloss.com/Exterior-Polishes/Total-Performance-Polish/16-oz.---Duragloss-TPP-(Total-Performance-Polish))

Well, it`s one of my very favorite polishes and i`m biased toward it I have to admit. I love the look own it`s own with about 3-5 layers it gets a class coating that is just a look really all it`s own IMO.

I like DG products, only other AIO I like as much as 501 is Poorboys PwS, also topped with Collinite 845.

Ah, one of those "products containing cleaners and/or abrasives" that *CAN* be layered huh?

NO, no, I`m not being sarcastic at all, AutoGlym`s Super Resin Polish does it too (if you go about it correctly).
