With inspiration from a few detailers on AG who posted their DIY Bucket Dolley designs I decided to tackle this myself with the object of using only things I already had in the garage.

The designs shown on AG were large square 2 bucket dolleys. I felt that I`d be sure to bang my ankle on the corner if I built a square unit, there are times I really only need one bucket--(like when doing wheel wells, wheels and tires) and I needed something small enough to easily store in the cabinets I built for the garage.

Had a few pieces of 3/4" plywood left from the cabinet construction so cut two 14" circles then cut the center out of one using the bottom of the wash bucket for a guide as suggested by one of the other posters.

Screwed and glued the donut to the solid circle, painted the whole thing with some porch and floor enamel then attacehed the wheels. All things I had in the garage.

Guess I`ll have to break down and buy a set of matching 1.5" wheels for the second unit which I plan to attach to the first with a couple of old door latches for the times I need two buckets.

The single unit weighs 3.5 lbs with the wheels attached.

Thanks to the original posters for the inspiration.
